Hoping for a quiet life, he was asked to say a few words at an ordination when no one else was ready, and he preached so beautifully that he spent the rest of his short life as one of the most famous preachers in Europe.

He is the friend everyone calls when the keys go missing. The tradition started when a novice ran off with Anthony's prayer book, and after Anthony prayed, the young man brought it back.
