The Life of St. Mary Magdalene
Mary of Magdala was freed by Jesus and became one of His most loyal followers, traveling with Him and supporting His ministry. When most of the disciples had fled, she stood at the foot of the Cross.
On Easter morning she came to the tomb in tears and saw a man she took for the gardener. Then He said her name, "Mary," and she knew Him. Jesus sent her to tell the Apostles He was risen, and the Church calls her the Apostle to the Apostles. In 2016 Pope Francis raised her day to a feast.
“I have seen the Lord.”
John 20:18
