Vatican City Racing

A Catholic men's t-shirt featuring "I have finished the race" — inspired by the Vatican Hill where Nero's circus once stood.

Nero built his circus on the banks of the Tiber to watch men and horses die. The Circus of Nero, the greatest chariot track in the ancient world, sat on the ground where St. Peter's Basilica stands today. Where emperors came for blood, the Church eventually planted her flag. Where paganism held its spectacles, the Faith buried her martyrs and raised her greatest cathedral.

Peter was crucified on those grounds. Head down, at his own request, unworthy to die as his Lord died. His blood soaked the same dirt Nero's horses thundered across. The empire that ordered his death is rubble. The Church he died for is not.

Vatican City Racing is a nod to that history. That ground. Those men. A race that asked for everything and paid out nothing in this life.
